This website
was primarily created to provide
genealogy information concerning the WHITLOCK
family tree (Father). Dating back to the
late 1700's in North Carolina, with most of the families eventually settling in
Alabama. Then in the late 1800's my grandfather 'Robert Chester Whitlock' moved
to Oklahoma.
The
above Whitlock tree branched out to
include the RIDDLE add PEACHEY family
trees (Grandparents). Other branches include: SPENCE
(Step-Father), BRATCHER, ROWLAND,
MONTGOMERY and MOORE (Sister's).
Other family names of interest
include:
MARGISON, HART, DOUTHIT, ASKEW,
BASSE, BUSH, ELLIS, ELROD, FISHER, GOFF, GRAVES, HOFFA, HULSEY, ISBELL,
KIMBROUGH, MITCHELL, ROBERTS, VESS, WILLEY, WILLIS and WILSON. Of
course there are a multitude of other
family names that are included, due to
marriages:

Bond, Bonnet, Bowles, Brannon, Burwell,
Butcher, Calhoun, Campbell, Carr, Casto,

ANNOUNCEMENT
Resent changes have been made to
the the website:
I recently received an email from
Hillard Morris, which has solved the
mystery of the Morris and the Whitlock
connection. I will be updating this
website soon with the research
information. This is a big find and it
will take me several weeks to completely
upload and update the files. The
following is the email I received from
Hillard:
I think that
I am a descendant of the Alabama
Whitlock Family Tree. I think that my
Grandmother, Martha E Whitlock, was the
daughter of John N Whitlock and
Josephine Lindsey. I don't have a family
record that shows Martha's mother and
father but she was born on 22 Nov 1877
and died in Brick, Colbert County,
Alabama on 9 Apr 1943. She married John
Preston Morris who died in 1918. After
John's death Abner L Whitlock lived with
the Martha (Lizzie) Whitlock Family. He
shows up in both the 1920 and 1930
census. I think he lived with
descendants of the Morris family until
his death. I was named after Hillard
Whitlock.
Hillard..
Thank you very much and unlocking the
mystery of Lizzie!
